If you're looking for a family friendly place and a good night's sleep, avoid this place like the plague. An ok casino with slots and table games, but not very big, not that impressive and frankly the fun people watching is on the terrace outside - around the pool.
If you are looking for a really good meal then visit Cocal. The rooms are not up to date, but are roomy. This is a place mostly for single guys, not a family type of resort. The men servers are very well trained and most of them speak English. The bartenders are women and if you do not speak Spanish or leave a super huge tip then do not expect great service of attention. This is just the norm for Costa Rica. I would recommend this place to single gents, you married guys find another place to drink.
